Mauricio
For Mauricio, Yoga was found after a journey's search that started with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and continued with an intense, brief career in Contemporary Dance. Yoga, he found, married both arts and science as the underlying intention and in its practice.
Having found a home for his interests in the practice of Yoga, Mauricio left a life of software development in Mexico City, to be trained as a Yoga instructor, first in Brazil (where he was first introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa and Meditation) and then in Australia - where he continued a deeper exploration in both forms. In Australia, he was also introduced to Pranayama and Iyengar Yoga. With a four-year Dharma Mittra-based foundation, Mauricio's practice and teaching aim at integrating both - in a dynamic practice that follows sound and safe alignment principles, laid out along an organically designed asana sequence.
At COMO Shambhala, Mauricio teaches the Beginner, General and Ashtanga classes.
